Transforming Transport Futures: Integrating People, Place and Technology
The Australasian Transport Research Forum (ATRF) 2026 invites researchers and practitioners to submit papers that contribute to advancing transport policy, planning, design, and operations across Australasia and beyond.
Submissions should be clearly aligned with the 2026 conference theme, demonstrating how transport systems can be transformed through the integration of people-centred approaches, place-based thinking, and technological innovation.
Topics of interest
ATRF 2026 welcomes papers across a broad range of transport disciplines, including (but not limited to):
- Travel demand modelling, scenario planning, and risk analysis
- Traffic modelling, forecasting, simulation, control, and management
- Travel behaviour, travel surveys, and demand management
- Transport infrastructure, land-use planning, and urban design
- Transport economics, funding, pricing, and appraisal
- Active transport (walking, cycling, micro-mobility)
- Public transport planning, operations, and performance
- Freight, logistics, aviation, maritime transport, and supply chain resilience
- Traffic safety and road user risk
- Transport technology and innovation
